HARSH GAVAND / FULL-STACK & AI ENGINEER

I build the interface.
And the system
behind it.

Full-stack applications, backend APIs, and applied AI workflows — from the data model and provider integration to the interface people use.

02 / Selected Work

Four systems. The engineering behind them.

AI media generation, lending workflows, repository discovery, and automated news delivery.

01Applied AI & Media Pipeline

UGC Content Studio — AI Media Generation Pipeline

Live demoSign-in to generateGitHub source

The problem & product

Marketing teams need product and model variations without repeated manual shoots. I built a multimodal generation workflow spanning authenticated uploads, Google AI image/video requests, Cloudinary delivery, and relational project and credit records.

Architecture & engineering decisions

  • Scoped project and generation endpoints to Clerk identity so each account works with its own project records.
  • Orchestrated Google AI image/video requests and Cloudinary uploads while persisting processing states and media URLs.
  • Implemented Prisma/PostgreSQL credit updates and restoration after generation failures, with error state retained on the project.
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Node.js
  • Express
  • Prisma
  • PostgreSQL
  • Clerk
  • Cloudinary
  • Google AI
Engineering outcome

I implemented project-scoped generation, persisted image/video results, and credit restoration on generation failures across the creator workflow.

02FinTech & Lending Workflows

LendFlow — Multi-Role Lending Platform

Live demoPublic landing · account for dashboardsGitHub source

The problem & product

Borrower applications, lender review, and administrative oversight need distinct product flows. I built role-oriented lending interfaces and Express loan handlers backed by relational records and explicit approval states.

Architecture & engineering decisions

  • Defined Sequelize user and loan models with decimal financial fields, relationships, and pending / approved / rejected states.
  • Implemented Express application, lookup, and approval/rejection handlers alongside JWT account authentication.
  • Organized borrower, lender, and admin views around loan and repayment workflows, with Chart.js data presentation.
  • React
  • Node.js
  • Express
  • Sequelize
  • SQL
  • JWT
  • Chart.js
Engineering outcome

I modeled loan records and approval states in SQL and implemented application, review, and repayment interfaces for three user roles.

03Developer Tools & Document Relations

DevGraph — Repository Discovery & Issue Platform

Live demoAccount requiredGitHub source

The problem & product

Developer collaboration depends on clear relationships between accounts, repositories, and issues. I built repository discovery and management workflows around document references, validated controllers, and independent personal/discovery feed state.

Architecture & engineering decisions

  • Modeled user, repository, and issue references in Mongoose and populated related documents for owner and issue resolution.
  • Validated repository names and MongoDB identifiers before create, read, visibility, update, and delete operations.
  • Separated personal and suggested repository feeds from the local search query so filtering does not trigger a network round-trip per keystroke.
  • React
  • Node.js
  • Express
  • MongoDB
  • REST API
Engineering outcome

I implemented owner and issue resolution through Mongoose references, validated repository mutations, and local discovery filtering without a request for each keystroke.

04AI Automation & Delivery Pipelines

AI News Automation — Ingestion-to-Email Pipeline

The problem & product

AI news sources span articles and transcripts that can be collected repeatedly. I built an ingestion-to-digest workflow with identity checks, local model inference, relational persistence, and two email output formats.

Architecture & engineering decisions

  • Checked article and video source identity in SQLAlchemy repositories before inserting newly collected material.
  • Separated collection, Ollama summarization, digest persistence, and email formatting so pipeline stages remain inspectable.
  • Implemented multipart text/plain and text/html SMTP delivery with source links and environment validation.
  • Python
  • SQLAlchemy
  • Docker
  • Ollama
  • Pydantic
  • SMTP
Engineering outcome

I prevented repeat source ingestion through repository identity checks and produced persisted digests with original-source references and plaintext/HTML delivery formats.

digest / email output

The product output is a multipart email digest. Inspect the formatter and run instructions in the repository.

Harsh GavandAbout me

Curious about the whole system.

I build full-stack applications, backend APIs, and applied AI workflows. My work connects React and TypeScript interfaces to Node.js and Python services, relational and document databases, and external model and media providers.

How I approach the build

01

Define the contract

Start with the product flow, API inputs, authorization boundary, and data ownership.

UGC · Clerk-scoped project endpoints
02

Keep state explicit

Model the states a request can enter, including provider failures, retries, and incomplete work.

Banking · pending / approved / rejected
03

Bound external work

Validate before a provider call. Limit usage and keep decisions that matter in application code.

Banking harness · policy + confirmation
04

Verify the delivery

Check the API, generated assets, source references, and deployment response before calling work complete.

Portfolio · pre-render + HTTP checks
